Hearts in Rugby Union provides lifelong support to rugby players who have experienced serious, life-changing injuries. Its work extends well beyond financial assistance. The organisation helps its VIPs — Very Injured Players — access practical support and resources that can make a genuine difference to their independence, wellbeing and overall quality of life. Hearts in Rugby Union also recognises that the impact of a catastrophic injury reaches beyond the individual. Partners, children, carers and the wider family can all be affected and may require ongoing guidance and support throughout the journey.
